Jon Stewart charges forward with his personal vendetta against all that is the Fox News Network. Their latest exchange of words revolves around the Nuclear Summit held in Washington, DC, this past week.
Fox News takes a closer look into the meaning behind the summit logo, proposing the idea that is bears striking similarity to the crescent moon present on many Muslim nation’s flags. The network goes so far as to say that the similarities were intentional and provided a means for President Obama to continue his outreach to Muslim nations.
In rebuttal, Stewart inquires through the White House about the origin of the logo. Administration representatives stated the logo was based on the Rutherford-Bohr Model of the atom, a common image in the scientific realm we all learned about in high school.
Taking this one step further, Stewart mocks Fox New’s interpretation by comparing Fox’s logo to that of a Nazi Third Reich poster and the Rising Sun Imperial flag of Japan.
The episode aired April 14, 2010 on Comedy Central. Full episodes are streaming on thedailyshow.com.

You watch him on “The Daily Show,” you read his books, you watch his films, but did you know that Jon Stewart also performs as a stand-up comedian?
Jon Stewart tickets are currently available for his upcoming gigs. He is scheduled to perform at two venues this winter: Feb. 5 and 6 at the Mirage in Las Vegas; and March 5 and 6 at the Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa in Atlantic City, NJ.
Just for a laugh, here are some of Stewart’s old jokes. Don’t worry though, he’s sure to have something new and fresh for his upcoming routines!
On the last presidential election: “Democrats do have an historic race going. Hillary Clinton vs. Barack Obama. Normally, when you see a black man or a woman president an asteroid is about to hit the Statue of Liberty.”
On Hollywood: “A lot of people say that this town is too liberal, out of touch with mainstream America, an atheistic pleasure dome, a modern-day, beachfront Sodom and Gomorrah, a moral black hole where innocence is obliterated in an endless orgy of sexual gratification and greed. I don’t really have a joke here. I just thought you should know a lot of people are saying that.”
On audience questions:”There are obviously certain questions that I get asked pretty often about the show: ‘Do you guys all sit around a table and come up with jokes? Where do you get your ideas from? What’s Rob Corddry really like?’ The answers, by the way, are: no, weed, and ‘a total d*ck.”
