The Daily Show to tape in D.C. this October
If you’ve always wanted to see a taping of The Daily Show, but never had a chance to make it up to New York then you’re in luck! Jon Stewart is coming to Washington, D.C. from to tape several episodes.
In honor of the November elections, Stewart will be at the Shakespeare Theater Company’s Sidney Harmon Hall for a week to tape its “Indecision 2010” coverage. The episodes will air on Comedy Central at 11 p.m. ET from Oct. 25-28.
During the episodes, which have been dubbed When Grizzlies Attack: The Daily Show Midterm Teapartyganza, Stewart be joined by other cast members Samantha Bee, Jason Jones, Wyatt Cenac, John Oliver and Aasif Mandvi.
“Continuing with the tradition of producing great theatre and quality events in our spaces, we are thrilled to have this Emmy award winning show in our theatre,” STC Managing Director Chris Jennings told the Washington City Paper.
Though it’s not unusual for Stewart and crew to leave Manhattan to cover the midterm elections, it is only the second time that they have come to the nation’s capitol. His first trip was during 2002.
